The Veterans Voice
Veterans Voice is Presented by USAA
What We Believe:
The real difference made in the lives of those we serve is when we make an impact.
The Project
The Veterans Voice Project launched in 2018 and was stood up as a community outreach program for Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center with the support of USAA as its presenting partner. Its chief aim is to communicate all of the resources and support Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center makes available to the military connected community to solve the problems of food, housing, economic, health, wellness, employment insecurity and more.
History
Veterans Voice first aired as a radio broadcast with a pioneering companion podcast on flagship station KRDO Newsradio September 1, 2018 with KRDO's Mike Lewis hosting. Mr. Lewis is a veteran of the United States Navy Reserves and served KRDO Newsradio as news and program director, and award winning morning news anchor, for more than 30 years. The program is among KRDOs first podcasts and won a first place Colorado Broadcasters Association award in the category of Best Use of New Media.
