Helping Our Heroes: October Events for Veteran Wellness
This episode is dedicated to upcoming events happening in our Colorado Springs community that aim to help veterans navigate life after service to our country.
Medicare Mentors, a team of two comprised for Pam and Rich Lewis, speak about the upcoming Senior Health and Wellness Fair happening October 28th at Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center.
Then, Glenn Nieradka, Kate Umm, and Mark Smith talk about the upcoming Stand Down for Homeless Veterans happening at City Auditorium on October 17th. In addition to learning about the impact local nonprofits are making to create change and facilitate positive transitions for displaced vets, you'll also hear a story of hope from Andrew Roebuck, a veteran who benefited from the support services of local nonprofits helping veterans succeed.
The Veterans Voice Project presented by USAA is an Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center service. Veterans Voice Colorado Springs is produced in the OPTUM Podcast Studio, distributed via the Medicare Mentors Veterans Voice Podcast Channel, powered by Technology Partner Colorado Computer Support, and made possible in part by Supporting Partner, The WireNut Home Services.
